Karolis Vyčius
I started my career as a programmer while still at school, after which I got a job as a software engineer at the leading advertising technology company Adform. Later, I applied my information technology skills at the Lithuanian start-up Trafi. I was leading a team responsible for Trafi’s mobile application, developing the application's technical vision. I also co-founded NephroGo and GetPet. GetPet is a NGO for helping people to adopt pets from shelters and educating pet guardians on their future commitment. This project was known all around the world and was featured on Forbes, The Washington Post, RTL. In 2021, I joined “Create Lithuania“ as a project manager. The “Create Lithuania“ is the first and to this day still the only programme for professional development and the applicability of best foreign practices to the public sector of Lithuania. I have led two projects, one at the Ministry of National Defence and the other at the Ministry of Transport and Communications. It enabled me to contribute towards shaping the future of modern Lithuania starting from cyber security to public transport digitalization. Currently, I am working as an IT & Data Analytics Advisor at the Office of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania where I am leading IT projects and improving IT infrastructure of Lithuania.
